Browning and "eaten" leaves

Postby anubisg1 » Sun Apr 14, 2019 3:40 pm

Hello,

As you can see in the images below, my avocado has a lot of new foliage that looks in great shape but the older leaves are yellowing and drying. They look sick. In addition some leaves have completely missing pieces as if they were eaten. I do not see any pest, so I am not sure what would cause either one. Ideas?

Hi,

thanks for the pictures. It's normal that the older leaves are like this. They will fall off eventually. As long as you have a healthy amount growing from the top everything is fine. I also would give the plant some fertilizer, the ones for citrus plants works great. Like this: https://amzn.to/2XeHdmu

Thanks,

Daniel

Thanks a lot Daniel.
The leafs that look like they were eaten worried me the most.

If you say that is normal, I'll continue to take care of it as of now.

Thanks for the fertilizer recommendation too.
